This t-shirt is possibly the best t-shirt ever:

I HAVE to get it. Seriously.
Explanation?
In Walt Disney World, there’s a Monorail which connects some parks and some hotels. As the doors close, a recorded message says,
“Please stand clear of the doors. Por favour mantengase alejado de las puertas.” I’ve had something of an obsession with this phrase, and Jack Wagner’s voice, since I first heard it. It’s one of the few lines of Spanish I can speak, although I can only manage to say it if I say the English first.
It’s difficult to explain how awesome that recording is, but it’s one of the most well-known catchphrases in WDW.
So, yes, I need that t-shirt. And in a little under a month, I’ll be able to get it! *crosses fingers*
ETA: I managed to find a video on YouTube with the spiel in so that you can hear it for yourselves =)

Hmm, I’ve managed to not update for over a week. Whoops.
So, everyone should go to this site. Wait for the page to load, then hover over the cup. Much entertainment follows.
I’m not sure what the point in the site is, exactly (or what any of it actually says), but it’s good fun!

My mother sent me a thermometer a couple of weeks ago. It’s one of those ones that tells you the temperature inside and out (there’s a wire that you stick out a window, with a sensor at the end). At first I was quite excited by this, because … well, because I’m cool, and because knowing the outside temperature is useful.
But over the past week or so, I’ve come to realise that the thermometer isn’t exactly what you might call accurate.

Yes, it is a nice day - the sun is shining and the sky is clear blue - but no way in hell is it 25.5° outside. We’re in Britain and it’s February. When it gets to 25.5° at this time of year, I’ll start worrying about global warming.
Though the thermometer is from Lidl and therefore cheap, so really, what did I expect?

Apparently I like posting on a Monday.
Anyway. I’m very grateful to my body clock today. It woke me up at 9am, so I had time to get up, have breakfast and get to my 10am lecture (I usually set my alarm for 15 minutes before I need to get up because I need a little time to ‘come to’. I’m not one of those people who can just leap out of bed, as I may have mentioned previously).
Why didn’t I set my alarm? Good question. As a matter of fact, I did. But when my body clock woke me up, there was no evidence that I’d set my alarm. Or, indeed, that I had a clock in my room. Yes ladies and gentlemen, power cuts are back in Stanmer Court. Or at least they were for almost an hour this morning. Let’s hope this isn’t a recurring theme again.
It’s a shame my lecture wasn’t at 9am, though. “My alarm didn’t go off because there was a power cut” is a pretty good excuse for missing a lecture, don’t you think?
In other news, my mobile phone has no signal. I usually have at least 1 bar of signal, often more. But for whatever reason, today I have no signal. Anywhere. I’ve tried turning the phone on and off, in the hope that it’ll be kicked into action to find some network coverage, but no such luck. So let’s hope no one important (or even unimportant, just anyone in general) is trying to contact me, because they won’t get through.
ETA: Sphie and Mark have no signal either. So O2 appears to be screwing up.
I can get 1 bar of signal if I leave my phone on my windowsill, but it goes as soon as I take it off. Fun times.
